Our client, an established Shipping Organisation, is currently looking for a Compliance & Credit Risk Executive to join their team in Singapore.
This is a newly created role, where you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, sanctions and
maritime trade regulations. You will carry out Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) checks for new
and existing clients and monitor transactions for suspicious activities and escalate potential risks. You will work closely with other departments in relation to the credit limits exceeding and monitoring receivables, highlighting overdue accounts or potential defaults.
Required Education and Experience:
- a Diploma / Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Maritime Studies, or related field
- at least 3 years' experience in credit risk and compliance, or trade finance
- strong financial analysis skills, including interpretation of financial statements
- experience assessing counterparty risk across traders, producers, processors etc
- excellent communication skills to explain credit decisions clearly to stakeholders
- enjoy working efficiently in a fast-paced trading environment
- possess a solutions-oriented mindset, balancing risk control with commercial objectives
- experience in bunkering, shipping, oil trading, or commodity trading is an advantage.
