This is a rare opportunity to join a first-class organisation as Senior Market Analyst, where you will be directly responsible for assisting the commercial team and management to define strategies and identify business opportunities across a number of business units within the tanker sector. Your key responsibilities will include:
- analysing global fleet capacity, benchmarking and competitor activities
- analysing Chartering strategies
- developing data-driven models to predict supply-demand imbalances, such as inventory trends and refinery run rates
- monitoring geopolitical events and macroeconomic factors to assess the direct impact on crude and refined product prices
- tracking the movement of crude / products from origin to destination to identify profitable routes and monitoring production levels
- calculating price spreads and identifying pricing inefficiencies to support traders
- analysing shipping schedules and infrastructure capacity to understand the flow of physical cargo
- preparing presentations and developing relevant reports to support business opportunities
To be considered for the position you must have the following:
- Previous 10 years' experience working within a research or analyst position within the oil or tanker markets
- Excellent data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret both quantitative and qualitative data
- Strong report writing skills
- Ability to manage tight deadlines and work within in fast paced environment with changing priorities
- Strong communication skills, able to demonstrate teamwork approach
