Our client is a leading international shipping group, looking for a Charterer to join their team in the London office.
Supporting the Commercial Director, you will be securing employment for the fleet at optimum rates and terms, marketing the fleet to clients, building and maintaining relationships and reporting on market fixture information, open cargoes and market trends. Advising on commercial matters affecting operations and demurrage risk exposure, your knowledge of market information will form proposals for marketing plans.
You must have at least 3 years previous relevant container chartering experience, which may be from an owning, chartering or broking environment. Fluent in English, you will be a team player committed to providing a service of the highest calibre. You will be a strategic thinker who can operate in a flexible working environment with a strong commercial acumen, excellent analytical skills and high levels of computer literacy.
Overall, you must be customer-focused, adaptable, energetic and quick to seize opportunities. Knowledge of S&P would be an added advantage.
