A well-established shipping firm in the tanker sector is looking for a Technical Superintendent to join their team.
In this role, you will be primarily responsible for ensuring vessels complying with all relevant regulations from Classification Societies, Flag and Port States, Oil Majors and other authorities, while executing and monitoring the planned maintenance system. Key duties include approving and overseeing repairs, preparing purchase and work orders, managing dry-docking and repair specifications, maintaining budgets and meeting operational standards. The position also involves conducting internal audits, risk assessments and incident investigations, attending inspections, liaising with terminal representatives, charterers, agents, operators, and regulatory officials, acting as the primary point of contact for vessel matters at the Fujairah branch, and supporting the Crew Department with crew coordination.
Requirements:
- COC Class 1 holders with sailing experience on product tankers
- Minimum 1 experience ashore as a Technical Superintendent in tanker companies
- Experience in handling Foreign going vessel
- Must be willing to travel abroad (Fujairah) on a rotational basis
- Possess good spoken and written communication skills in English language
- Familiar with Oil Majors vettings and inspections requirements
- Analytical, able to work independently, results oriented, resourceful and pro-active.
