Purchasing Executive - Singapore

Job Description

Our client is currently seeking for a Purchasing Executive to join their team in Singapore.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing all procurement operations for the company and its vessels including sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and purchasing spare parts, stores, and services ensuring adherence to purchasing policies and procedures. It involves coordinating closely with Superintendents and vessel crews for routine and specialized maintenance and repairs, monitoring vessels movement and ensure timely procurement and forwarding of provisions, stores and spares to the vessels, overseeing ordering, matching of purchase orders, invoices and deliveries; handling vendor claims and contracts, establishing and evaluating supplier frameworks, maintaining vessel certification renewals, assisting in budgeting (OPEX, docking, repairs) and performing any ad hoc procurement‑related tasks as required.

Job Requirement

Diploma in Procurement / Marine / Engineering or equivalent certifications
Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience in similar capacity preferably in Bunkering industry / Shipowner / Ship Management Companies.
Excellent communications and negotiation skills
Hands-on experience with purchasing software
Good analytical and organizational skills, resourceful and meticulous
Proficient in MS Office application
Able to work well under stress in a fast paced environment
