An opportunity to work for an established group within the shipping operational technologies software market. As the US Sales Manager you will be responsible for the continued growth of market share for the USA and Canada region. Remotely based you will be focused on identifying new business opportunities to drive forward revenue from the sale of operational technology solutions to shipowners and ship management companies.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Prospecting for new customers, which will represent around 60%  focus of the role
  • Cultivating existing customers for up-sale, actively manage and expand existing customers
  • Promote and sell other group products and services.  
  • Attend customer meetings, customer events, exhibitions, conferences and user-forums.
  • Lead and run product demonstrations.
  • Qualify leads into CRM system and closely follow through to the various stages of the sales cycle.
  • Propose, review and negotiate contracts.

To be a suitable candidate you should have a proven track record within maritime sales, preference will be given to those with a background selling ship management software or SaaS solutions within the sector. Alternatively you could be working for a marine product supplier with a strong network of customers within the owners and ship management market.

We are looking for a highly driven individual who has a real appetite for new business development with the competence to sell complex product solutions. You should have a strong understanding of customers, market dynamics and able to work independently within this remotely based position.
