Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen with this leading maritime organisation, working in Governance, Risk & Compliance.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • delivering short and long term strategies for the department, ensuring all processes achieve the annual goals and objectives;
  • working closely with team leaders to ensure efficient and proficient team members are in place;
  • developing a "risk management culture" across the organisation;
  • developing, implementing and reviewing internal controls and risk management / mitigation strategies; 
  • communicating on procedures and policies in compliance and risk mitigation;
  • ensuring key risks are identified and addressed by the relevant stakeholders; 
  • implementing policies and procedures for business continuity and disaster recovery in the event of an emergency;
  • periodic reporting of risk to the Senior Management, Board and Audit Committee, as well as ensuring these stakeholders are notified of significant risks and potential impact in a timely manner.
You will draw on your experience in a similar role to provide relevant insights on the latest practices to support the ongoing development of policies and procedures in governance, risk and compliance.
Suitable candidates will have a degree in Finance or Accounting, as well as certification in CIA, CRMA, CFE, etc and have at least 10 years' experience in a similar role.
