Job Description

An opportunity is available to work for an established group within the shipping technologies software market. As the Hong Kong Sales Manager you will be responsible for the continued growth of market share for the region. You be focused on identifying new business opportunities and driving revenue through the sale of technology solutions to ship owning and ship management companies.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying new customers;
  • Managing and expanding existing customer accounts;
  • Promoting other group products and services;  
  • Attending customer meetings, events, exhibitions, conferences, etc;
  • Leading product demonstrations;
  • Qualifying leads into the CRM system and closely following up throughout the sales cycle;
  • Proposing and negotiating contracts.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record within maritime sales, preferably with a background selling ship management software or SaaS solutions within the sector.  Alternatively you could be working for a marine product / service supplier, and have a strong network of customers within the owners and ship management market.

We are looking for a highly driven individual, with a real appetite for new business development and with the ability to sell complex product solutions. You should have a sound understanding of customers, market dynamics and the able to work independently.

Fluency in English and Mandarin and / or Cantonese is essential in order to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.  Seagoing experience as an Engineer would also be highly desirable.
