Our client is a renowned shipping company, with an expanding fleet, looking for an experienced Procurement Specialist to join their team as an ERP Project Consultant.

You will be supporting the Head of Department to:

  • Develop full suites of procurement and logistics procedure based on company’s requirement, compliances, and audit findings.
  • Set up procurement and logistics governance, policy and procedures
  • Create electronic documentation library and manuals
  • Initiate suppliers’ and vendors’ appraisal assessment program
  • Provide recommendation / drive and manage change processes
  • Work through recent issues/tasks matrix to improve existing Supply Chain Software Module
This is a 6-months contract position with specific objective to set up new process and procedures, drive changes and modernizing the full procurement / supply chain processes. The contract may be extended if required.

To be suitable for this role, you must be someone who has at least 6 years of procurement experience in a ship owning / management set-up. You must have experience in setting up new purchasing procedures and policy, as well as having a strategic mindset to finetune processes in order to achieve cost-savings for the company. You must be comfortable working closely with IT team to identify gaps and perform UATs when required.

Ability to start with short notice is highly advantageous.
This role is only for candidates based in Singapore with ready working entitlement.
