Job Description
An established Shipowner is looking for an Operations Manager to join their Singapore office:

As a Senior in the Operations team, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
  • To serve as mentor to more junior operations staff to ensure safe operations of owners' vessels
  • Overall in charge of all operations for a fleet of bulk carriers
  • Post-fixture operations matters
  • Manage fleet deployment, operating cost and budgets
  • Monitor the performance of the fleet and to ensure vessels are adequately staffed by quality crew to meet operational requirements 
  • Oversee insurance matters (P&I, H&M and FD&D) as well as cargo claims matters
  • Organise vessels' registration / annual tonnage tax payment matters
  • Handle crew related incident /illness investigation in close coordination with technical team
  • Cooperate with the technical team to monitor vessels on cargo requirements and ensure compliance with Class and charter party terms
  • As owners representative attend meetings / seminars / conferences to represent the company
Experience working in ship-owning set-up is mandatory. 
For a commercially-minded candidate there may be an opportunity to be involved in some chartering activities.  
This role is suited for candidates with at least 7-10 years of related working experience.  Experience using IMOS is favorable. The ideal candidate will be a team-player, possess excellent communication skills and possess a high attention to detail.   

This role is opened to candidates already based in Singapore, with ready working entitlement.
