Researching tips

It sounds obvious but, before going to your interview, make sure you find out as much as you can about the hiring organisation and that you are familiar with the industry it operates within.

A great starting point is the organisation’s website which should provide you with a wealth of relevant information including what they do, their goals and values. If available, also access the press area of the website. This will give you articles from the media and insightful information about the company. It will also ensure you are aware of recent press releases involving the company.

You can also call the recruitment agency / company and request sales literature / company brochures / organisation charts and so on.

Most industries also have trade publications so have a read through these to gain knowledge about the industry and current trends and issues that they face.
