Halcyon Recruitment specialises in the provision of global recruitment solutions to the shore based shipping industry. Working in partnership with our clients and candidates, we provide a uniquely personal and focused service of the highest calibre on every project we undertake.
Passionate about shipping and recruitment, we have a combined total of over 30 years experience within the shipping industry, over half of which has been gained outside of recruitment. As a result, you are guaranteed to be working with people who understand the language of shipping and the unique challenges you face.
Halcyon Recruitment was established in 2005 by Marina Fairfield (nee Emden) as a bespoke service focusing primarily on the legal and insurance sectors of the shipping market. We are delighted to announce the arrival in 2008 of a new co-Director, Heidi Heseltine. Together we now offer a fully comprehensive service across all sectors of the shore based maritime market. We are proud to announce our re-launch this April and we very much look forward to working with you.
Director Profiles:
Marina Fairfield completed her academic studies with an LLM from Cardiff University in Maritime Law. She then trained and worked as a solicitor at two leading London / international shipping law firms. She has worked in shipping recruitment since 2000 and specialises in legal and insurance roles.
Heidi Heseltine has over 17 years industry experience having worked in quality assurance and commercial operations in the dry and tanker sectors as well as in online shipping services. She moved into shipping recruitment in 2002 where she has since gained a track record in successfully growing and developing recruitment consultancy teams specifically for the global shipping industry.
